MIND MYSTERY FOR SCHOOLS
A visit to Mind Mystery is fun for the whole class—especially when combined with our educational program. Get yourself and your students ready for a day full of #how-come moments!
“Do You See What I See?” Educational Program
Mind Mystery offers an educational program for 7th and 8th graders in elementary school and 9th and 10th graders in high school. With this teaching package, students experience in a fun and playful way what it’s like to see the world through someone else’s eyes. This combines entertainment with social-emotional development. The teaching package includes a complete classroom guide, a Mind Mystery Box filled with activities, and a visit to Mind Mystery for an on-site lesson.
WHY MIND MYSTERY FOR AN EDUCTIONAL FIELD TRIP?
A visit to Mind Mystery isn’t just fun—it’s also very educational. You’ll learn that the way you view the world is unique.
In our educational program, we focus on discovering diverse perspectives. How do we do this? By teaching children that everyone has their own truth. Through optical illusions and other activities, children come to understand that there are different perspectives in every situation. By exploring different perspectives, you’ll discover your own point of view, learn to stand up for it, and learn to listen to and accept the viewpoints of others.
PURPOSE OF THE EDUCATIONAL COURSE
Children learn about the relationship between the senses, perception, and forming a point of view. In the process, they discover that not everything is what it seems and develop a critical perspective on these points of view. They are introduced to different points of view and truths and learn to be open to them. By engaging in discussions on this topic, children learn that they are allowed to stand by and defend their own point of view, but that others are entitled to do the same. Through this, they learn to reflect on themselves and others and to recognize that everyone is different and has the right to be so.
The following core objectives of the Curriculum Development Foundation (SLO) are addressed:
Core Objective 34: Students learn to take care of their own physical and mental health and that of others.
Core Objective 37: Students learn to behave in a manner that reflects respect for generally accepted values and norms.
Core Objective 38: Students learn to treat diversity within society with respect.

CAN YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR GRADES 7 AND 8 AND SECONDARY SCHOOL (GRADES 1 AND 2)
At Mind Mystery, it’s clear that nothing is what it seems. The educational program explores the theme: nothing is what it seems. In addition to many hands-on activities centered around optical illusions, the program focuses on how to interact with others, how to stand up for yourself, and why it’s important to be open to other people’s opinions. To wrap up the program, the class visits Mind Mystery to put all the theory to the test and, of course, take some awesome photos.
